I belong to many gyms on the west side and this is by far the worst gym in the area. Not only are you paying the highest prices here, but their bathrooms are dirty and most of their machines are worn. They have broken machines as well as barbells that are bent and I always had to walk to find a paper towel to wipe down a machine. I did in fact tell a manager about the bathrooms and his response was that I needed to go on other 'less popular' floors to experience a clean bathroom. I also was told when I tried to negotiate the price down, " they can't keep their lights on for what planet fitness charges.". Planet fitness is far more clean and updated than this? I'm paying 30-39 dollars (most expensive in the area) and you can't keep the place clean or updated?
Legit don't know why so many people are complaining about the bathrooms. You're going here for the gym aspect, not to take a shower. Sure, the locker rooms could be a little cleaner but they're not nearly as bad as most people are saying. The facility has a wide variety of machines and weights and a lot of room. I've had a great experience there every time because I'm not hung up on the bathrooms.
I workout here only during certain times of the year because I'm not from around here. I'm able to go here because of my membership allowing me to visit any LA around America. If you travel much I definitely suggest getting that type of membership because honestly it's not that expensive (in comparison) and there are LA's everywhere. This one is easily in my top 5 because of the amount of equipment, space, and availability. Even when the place is crowded there's always room to work. Have not gone to any classes. Cleanliness is not bad at all compared to some places I've been, but they could do better. They need to have the carpets in the locker rooms professionally cleaned. The three floors allow me to mind my own business and get a good workout in.
There are better gyms in the area without the pushy sales people. The facility is sweet, the staff isn't the best to be polite.
Never had a problem with any cleanliness. The track is nice and I just keep to myself and haven't interacted with the staff. They just say "have a good workout" and that really should be the extent of it. Positive experience, the movie room is neat
