Donna-

I felt so very relaxed and so valued at my hospital stay. My Doctor Horwood, is an exceptional Doctor, with the demeanor of a close friend, that you've relied on for years. From the nursing staff to the maintenance staff, I was treated with respect and dignity. I never had to call for anything. It seemed as if they were there just to make sure, that DONNA was healing properly. I could not have requested a better stay! I'm just sorry, that it took me so long to respond. However, I'm glad to say, that it's because, my knee feels great! And after I read all of the negative comments, I just had to speak my piece!

Thank You, ALL of you, for taking great care of me!

The worst hospital around. St. John Deathshore treats their patients horribly. My grandma's entire stay was uncomfortable and frustrating. The nurses were too busy at their nurse station and anytime you tried to ask them a question/get help they'd just push you off and say they'd get to you when they get to you. They never explained things to my grandma when they did them. A doctor told her she should get dialysis for her kidneys after a heart procedure, but it wasn't necessary. I'm glad she's out of there now and working with a different team. Go anywhere but here.

Financial consulting office said if you don’t have insurance you need to pay 1/2 up front for a test that costs $1700. Said we would do monthly payments she said can’t do it. Told her Obama Care was $1400 monthly she said it’s not her doing that.... we’re catholic and we wanted to do a catholic hospital. She said I would have to cancel the test by calling my doctor. I don’t recommend any institution that doesn’t put people first...it’s probably best for all..... very disappointed....

Went to the ER with daughter. 1st shift Dr & Nurse great after 8 hrs of test and waiting finally the Dr decides to discharge (no real diagnosis). Over another hour passes and no discharge yet. I mention to the nurse that we were waiting over an hour to be discharged ans she said she hasn't gotten to it yet. Then I inform her the we have been here over 9 hours and she said "yeah but I'm going down the line". What the heck is that?

My husband has had a triple bypass, a new heart valve, a pacemaker and a stent put in as well as gall bladder removal, all at U.H. St John Medical. The care, from the ER staff to the the floor nurses, that he has received there has been outstanding. Thank you to all!!
